Since the old market is now overrun with souvenir shops and tourists, the New Market, which is busy all day long, is now where all the locals go to shop for their food. There are a few good places to eat and get a bowl of delicious soup on the other side of the street. You can find anything you may need from vegetables and fruit to fish and meats as well as dried goods (noodles, biscuits and lollipops), shoes, herbal medicines and a jewelry section inside the market.
