Airplane is the fastest but also the expensive way to travel from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. Taking a boat from Siem Riep to Phnom Penh sounds to be the most interesting but adventurous way. On the high level water season, there are usually scores more onboard than there are seats for. Therefore you can sit on top and watch the countryside goes by. The ticket costs about 35 dollars. Depending on the season and water levels, the trip can take between 4 to 8 hours.
