Situated in Angkor Thom Area, Bayon temple is impressive with hundreds of beautiful four-sided statues. Bayon was built in the 12th century by King Jayavarman VII and is the only national temple in Angkor built which was primarily dedicated to Buddha. After the death of King Jayavarman, Bayon was remodeled by Hinduism. Ta Keo Temple was built from green sandstone and is the only unfinished temple in Angkor Thom. Ta Keo was built by Jayavarman V, the son of Rajendravarman when he was 17 years old and was dedicated to Shiva. However, the temple was never completed by the death of the king.
